SDG 10. Reduce inequality within and among countries.
While the SIFA Plan is not likely to immediately close the gap between the 1% and the 99%, since the old economies remain intact, it will, right from the first implementation of the Plan, begin to close the gaps between those who have the means to find self-fulfilment and inner empowerment and those who are often unsuccessfully trying to eke out a living. It will also gradually change the dominant value system from one where status and economic power are believed to provide grounds for power to one which provides the deeper satisfaction of personal and social development.
The personal development of individuals will inevitably affect the ways in which they can and cannot be influenced and those they choose as their leaders. People’s greater physical and social security and better education will make them less afraid of legal immigration and less susceptible to populist leaders.
The values that become the norm within nations will inevitably colour how they relate to one another.
